Honoring Our Ministers
This program is designed to recognize significant levels of service and involvement a minister has achieved in the UPCI. It is made up of the following areas:
Ministers of Comfort: This program is designed to organize and assure the involvement of the UPCI and the Maine District in providing comfort and honor to the family of a deceased minister or spouse.
Ministerial Event Honorariums: This is designed to recognize and honor the faithfulness, calling, and involvement of aging minister who may not be able to fully participate due to age, suffering, or terminal illness. Events are organized by the program director to honor these ministers and can be held at district events, home churches, or at a place that is deemed appropriate by the organizer and the minister to be honored.
The Order of Melchizedek Program: Ministers who have reached age 80, and age 90 will receive a special award and induction into the Order of Melchizedek. This Order strives to bring honor to faithful ministers who have reached an age that may prohibit them from being as involved as they were at a previous time in life.
This program is led by Rev. Michael Cox. If you have any questions about this ministry, please reach out to him at bishop@crossroadschurch.me.
World Network of Prayer
The Maine division of the World Network of Prayer strives to provide prayer resources and events for the Maine District. Each year we host an Annual Prayer Summit, taking place in August. This is an event that is focused on the importance of prayer in our lives and offers services and day sessions to help grow our prayer lives.
